Congratulations to Stephanie Murray, a Ph.D. student in the Pipes Lab, who was one of the awardees for the MahiMicrobe 2025 Michael Bruno Award for Excellence in Microbiome Science - Graduate Research Award from the Center for Microbiome Analysis through Island Knowledge and Investigation (C-MĀIKI).
Her project, Identifying the Protective Microbiome of Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death Survivors, was recognized for addressing a critical Hawaiʻi-based conservation challenge through a microbiome-focused solution.
This award provides $7,000 in research funding and invites Stephanie to present her work at the upcoming C-MĀIKI Symposium (Spring 2026).
